I would suggest that you take the Polycomm to a POTS line that is not connected to the IP Office, a separate fax line, or even take it home with you connect it there.
If the Polycomm behaves properly on a separate POTS line, they you probably have an IP Office problem, but if you get the same...
Recently our receptionist phone, a 4424 set, started some strange behavior.
When a call comes in, the handset is picked up, but it takes 8 - 10 seconds for the green light to come on and the ringing line actually be picked up.
Swapping another 4424 set onto this line fixes the problem, so the...
I am not looking for the message to play in a loop, I would want it to only play one time and then disconnect.
The idea is for people to call in and hear information that would change several times a day. They would listen to the recording then hang up or be disconnected if they don't hang up...
What is the best way to set up an answer only mailbox on the IP office with VM Pro?
I want to set up a mailbox with a DID number that will play an announcement when someone calls in, but will not record any incoming messages and of course will not ring a phone either.
Is an Hunt Group...
Is there a way for users in a hunt group to turn the group mailbox off and on from thier phone? These are analog phones, not digital feature multi button phones.
I found in the documentation how you can do it for your own mailbox, but since there is not a single phone for a hunt group box the...
Can someone please point me to documentation from Avaya showing what service pack level they support for:

There is no FIOS, not even available in Marion NC, Verizon will not even offer a static IP address on Business DSL in Marion.
I woudl love ot put in a PRI, and Have been trying to convince management to make that change for months, just not getting anywhere with it.
I will try the suggestions...
One of the 6 systems I manage is on analog lines, the other 5 are on PRI.
The analog system will about once a week or two have one or more lines get stuck when a caller disconnects.
The CLEC is Verizon. Avaya has told me to be sure that Verizon has reliable disconnect implemented on all the...
Can someone tell me if the twinning feature enabled in the 4.1 release of the firmware requires an SCN?
We have 6 sites connected via WAN and have the SCN turned off. Instead we are using the QSIG networking between sites.
I need to implement the twinning for some management personnel who have...
I use my laptop from home and connect to the corporate network via VPN, then just use Manager from my laptop.
As an alternative, I can connect with the VPN then use DameWare Reomte control to connect to the VM Pro server and launch Manager from there.
I have never experienced any issues as...
Unless I misunderstand your post, you are attempting to use two devices on the same IP address. Each device on a network must have a unique IP address, so I suggest changing the IP address of one device and see what happens.

I like the option of internal twinning the best of all the above, but they are all good.
What are the drawbacks, if any that I might need to be aware of in upgrading to the 4.1 firmware on the systems?
IP Office 406

VM Pro 3.2.28 (not central)
6 WAN connected locations
That is correct, the two offices are on two different switches.
Are there any pitfalls to upgrading?
Is the process you recommend self explanatory after the upgrade?
Thanks.

What is the best way to set up a user in two offices so that all his calls can go to both locations with the least effort on his part?
It appears that twinning would do this perfectly but it is not supported in the US for whatever reason.
Thsi user has a 4412 phone at each location.
He would...
