Can Feature 981 be programmed to dial an external voicemail system? We might be moving to an external voicemail system, and I'd like to make the transition as invisible as possible. It's an MICS XC 7.0 system with a CallPilot 150. If the CallPilot can do some funky routing for me, that could...
We actually had some bad wiring that caused the system to pick up and produce a dial tone. You could then dial any number you wanted. No one ever found out about it, but it could have been bad if someone did. At the time, we had a T1 that was going into the system as 24 analog lines. I was...
I agree with Dan. We had a fire that messed up our phone system, and I happened to have documented all the ports and extensions THE DAY BEFORE! We had the phone system back up in a day instead of what would have probably been a week.
My vendor and I were discussing this. Currently we have 3 digits being sent from DID numbers over PRI and 3 digit DN numbers. From what I can tell, you could have 4 digits being sent from DID and still have 3 digit DN numbers where you tell explicitly what 4 digits go to what extension, but he...
Ok, I found out what the deal is. The installer changed it. He said the system can't accept a 0 or a 9 as the first digit. What I am taking about is that when you have a DID that is 555-7015 and the Rec'd# is set to 3 you'd expect to get 015, but he had it changed to 715.
We have a T1 PRI connected to a MICS 7.0 system. We have about 150 DID numbers that need to be routed to a fax server (1 number for each person). How exactly can this be done? We haven't ordered the fax server yet, and our usual vendor is unavailable, so I wanted to ask here. My boss is just...
It seems to be possibly a line quality issue with our new PRI. The fax machines I was testing don't like each other so I thought it was the ATAs, but I was able to fax to all our other machines without problem.
Is it true that only ATA2's work with an MICS 7.0 system? We got a upgrade and can't send or receive faxes even though we can hear it connecting and I was wondering if the problem is that we have regular ATA's.
