    How many cards in the carrier? If it's a two-card carrier then you may want to put screws in the back to hold them in (I ran into a similar problem with two card carriers).

    Are you using any expansion cards? I can connect as long as it's the Partner system itself, but if I have any expansion cards connected, the remote thing works very poorly.
