    Secondary data and log files fo tempdb

    Hi, I have created second data and log files for tempdb on a seperate disk to the originals. Does anyone know whether SQL Server will use the first data and log files until they are full and then move on to the second files? The idea is to use the second files as 'overflow' files. Thanks Jon

    I think the problem was being caused by data being written onto the same drive that Itunes was reading from. I will monitor this to confirm the problem has been solved. Thank you all for your help. Jon
