We used 3.22. It is not a simple task to update the files, though, as we need to update the whole file, not just a field within as is the case with other ERP software we use. The latest version of Customizer is supposed to allow field updates, but we have not got this to work yet! Cheers, Jonathan

Crystal is a fine tool for writing reports, and it comes with every MAS 90 install - can I suggest that you try it, and compare it's speed with that of Access? If you can do the report in Access, you'll have absolutely no trouble in Crystal, and you can then put the report on your users' MAS 90...

The program is POWRHA. You can run this from file, run. The source for this information is the T R S G, which is a CD that you'll probably have in the green CD binder when the software was installed. Cheers, Jonathan

Every year, Best sends out Tax Tables, for use with MAS 90, 200 and SQL, and the latest one I got was fro 2003-Q1 Tax Tables. Are these not what you need?

You are in the wrong place! Sage is the UK only software, here in North America the software is completely different, being MAS 90, 200 and 500. Cheers!

Sounds like you are having trouble with SVDATA. I have had similiar troubles, and the suggestion from Best was to re-set up General Ledger module after running SVDATA. This does not work every time, but you may be OK.

This is potentially a very long question! The simple answer is that in each module, there is a year end closing procedure that clears out accumulators prior to starting with the new year. This means that you can not start entering 2003 transactions until you have closed 2002, as the accumulators...

In Crystal (Form), you will need to "add database to report", which should be the GL1 file. You can then link GLAccount in the PO2 file to Account Number in GL1. You can then place the Account Description onto your PO form. This is easy - you don't need SQL statements! Hope this helps!

Peak Data Systems has a utility that allows you to change the Item Number, and this utility changes all affected files. They are a developer of enhancements for Macola. I do not know if the program works with Netcellent - I doubt it - but you could certainly give them a call at (973) 659 1990 or...

As they are using MAS 90, they could use "add-on" solutions from Scanco (www.scanco.com) or Radio Beacon to get detailed bar coding bin tiers and so on. The basics of inventory control are otherwise quite powerful enough in MAS 90/MAS 200 to satisfy most users.
