2950 cisco switch port problem
from your config I would expect you to have problems with DHCP enabled devices on ports 0/1 to 0/16, whilst the PC is requesting an address the switch port is still blocking and the PC gives up before the port changes to forwarding. if this is your problem set spanning-tree portfast as reqd -...- JohnWhiteley

not sure what emulator you are using, but the standard break sequence for cisco kit does not work on bog standard hyperterminal from NT, download the private version (not for works use unless you buy it of course)and it works fine.- JohnWhiteley
