Printer drivers will not operate or do not remain stable when running on a Windows 2003 server. The printer may show to be offline, it may show to be online, but will not take a print job from the queue. Sometime the driver will work well for awhile then quit. This is a Ethernet networked...
This isn't the case. We have sat with the user. Typically this problem has manifested itself in several ways. In this case the user did not start having a problem till they got a new computer.
I have had several users complain about the following issues with active scripting. The fix has been to replace the NIC, however that has always been in older computers. This user is having the problem with a new computer.
Any ideas.
I have been having trouble with my internet browser ever...
User has an HP c5180 all-in-one. The has begun erroring out on print job. No specific error message has been displayed. Jobs do not ever make it to the queue.
We have reloaded drivers. The computer recognizez the printer is there. The scanner is functioning normally.
Any idea were to...
All of that was done. HP suggested rebuilding the system on the first go around. They are now sending us a new mother board for the two computers. Unfortunatly I kid of suspect that the problem is simpler then that.
We have recieved two desktops from HP that have had identical problems with Broadcom addapters. The Network connection will fail. Only visable symptom is that we see massive amounts of data being sent per second. (In the billions of packets.) The switch port is not seeing this data.
Has...
You probably know this, but just in case, you might need to consider that when linking the two communications devices you will need a crossover cable, mdix, or other such method to cross transmit to receive between the two communications boxes.
Most modern or higher end hardware will do this...
HP CP3505DN printer will quit talking to Computer via USB port after computer is turned off. User must disconnect the USB port and reconnect to get it working again. Has anyone seen this problem before?
Don't believe there is nothing to hack on a printer. Especialy if it has a hard drive. But thanks for the response. Setting the port of output only is a great idea.
I know none of them match take a look at the first two. See the difference? Then look at the third. It is the true physical address. The first two are virtual, or that is what they appear to be. Not sure were they are coming from. I know that when I manipulate the port I can get things...
I have an HP LaserJet 5550 that is regularly getting a port security violation when connected to and older Catalyst 5509 switch.
The following is what is what the switch is seeing. Has anyone seen this before, and can you explain what might be happening.

I have had that specific operation working in our network with a 5000 class as server and the 3750 as client. You should be able to get it working. Make sure the vtp domain names are the same, and the passwords are correct.
Also the VTP revision number on the server is higher or the same as...
If the stack master dies a new master is elected. Your uplink should be to the first and second switch in the stack so that if one uplink dies (connected to the master) the secondary link will take up the load. In the mean time under normal operations they can be set up as an etherchannel
Once working in Client/Server mode you will recieve VTP updates to the Client. Vlans are assigned to Switchports via the Switchport command in IOS and the set VLAN command in COS. The switchport access command is executed at the interface.
switchport access vlan XX
were xx is a vlan in the...
