Example 5 deals with the adding of the xp_cmdshell extended proc. This I have done, but now the sp_addextendedproc is missing, sp_addextendedproc is used to add the extended proc xp_cmdshell.

I thought if you say ordered on text as opposed to a number format, that it would reduce the performance on the server?

There is approximately 19000 records, I know this by viewing the properties of the table. There is one Index. I have not run checkdb on the database, should I do this as well as DBCC CHECKTABLE? I have never used the checkdb before.

We run MAS 500, a table now times out whenever it is called upon. This is the only table in the entire database that does this. When I open the table to view it, I recieve an ODBC time-out error. We have been using the database for over a few years now without this problem. Any ideas? Thanks

i have configured DHCP on my firewall and configured my first two DNSs as DNS on my network (domain controllers), then a third entry that is my ISP DNS. Seems to work ok, as it should.
