Thanks... The power supply I had was not Athlon or amd approved. I needed a 2.03 certified power supply. Now it works great. Thanks for all your help. -Joe

The Ram is good...I tryed it in another machine...Kingston 256 SD Value Ram. I can't find a ram jumper??? Good luck on your two FIC boards. thanks -Joe

Thanks for the responses. I reset the ram (sd) and the video card. No Video. No POST beeps with/without memory. No keyboard power. Nothing... But fan does turn on for processor. Hard drive is formatted. As far as trying to fix the problem....cleared the CMOS memory...is in the right...

I bought a ECS K7S5A Motherboard and a 1.4 athlon t-bird processor along with 256 ram and a heat sink and fan. Already had hard drive, cd rom, and floppy When i power up...the processor fan starts...light comes on from cd...no sound from processor...any ideas...? Thanks -Joe

Also...After I formated the HP drive I had to have the Gate way harddrive pluged in...Before when the OS(before format and fdisk) was installed on the HP drive I didn't need the gate way drive pluged in....Now I do........... -Joe
