I think I would be more worried with the connection than the device. Having two seperate types of service and using HSRP would be a good setup. Having the second router with the same IOS and config loaded on it as a cold spare also a good idea.
Is the one lan interface used to connect the router to the internet? What model 2600? You can setup as many static nats as you want then just configure your access lists accordingly. How many outside addresses do you plan to use and is your IP block capable of that?
New to Windows 7 and have not been able to access network resources when connected with Cisco VPN client 5.0.6. Everything installed fine and connects OK but will not comminucate with any resources. This same setup works perfectly on a XP Pro laptop. Both units run Symantec Endpoint...
If you have support contact Symantec and have them send you the "Makedrop" utility. You run this from the server and it moves clients over to it.

I think the problem may be the DHCP server portion is not supplying any DNS settings to your clients. If you try a numeric web address you will probably get there but there is nothing to resolve a name to the numeric address in place. Check the clients and see if there is a valid DNS entry in...
I know the older cards do not work with the ISR family routers but I thought the new worked in the old. But still with the current price of the new style there are loads of old T1 cards on EBay some NIB.
Make sure to set the switch ports on the switch to speed 10 and half duplex to match the routers you are using or you will have problems. Are the two routers in the same subnet? How is the switch configured? Would really need to see what you have so far to be of help.
From the server:
Cannot ping, telnet to, our use web browser to connect to switch. Full web access and access to all other network resources OK.
From the switch:
Cannot ping server. Full access to all other network resources OK.
I am sure it is due to the port mirroring that is going on but...
What I am saying is that the switch will operate with just an IOS in flash. ".bin" If you are missing the other files needed the way I used to get those files was to obtain the ".tar" image with the beb based device manager and use the archive tar method to upload and expand the files into the...
on both switches do a show interface f0/? for the ports involved in connecting these two switches together. Please post results. Are you writing the config before a reload? Cisco does not auto save.
There is a common problem with Cisco switches when connecting to legacy equipment that are 10-Base-T ethernet. For example if the router is a 2611 the best it can operate at is 10 full duplex. The Cisco switch port connected to it must also match and be manually set to either 10 full or 10...
Just being a registered user does not mean you can access downloads. You need a smartnet contract usually on a router, pix, or switch the you can download.
