    ok i figured this out, in one OU i disabled "configure auto updates" b/c of some reason i forget...so i added a new TEST OU with this policy enabled and i get all workstations poplulated in WSUS....thanks for the effort and stimulation to investigate this

    all machines are in two seperate OU's and there are some subfolders under the two OU's but all GPO's governing these OU's point to the WSUS server correctly.

    I recently setup WSUS on one of my servers. If it go into network places i can see all 500+ workstations in the firm but if go into WSUS it only sees 104 computers. Anyone see a reason why the other 400 would be missing? thanks

    you are missing one crucial step. Before you HIDE the mailbox ADD the mailbox to your account or login as the userID and give yourself rights to the mailbox. Once you have access go ahead and hide it from the GAL.

    that was incorrect, the fix for this is as follows: in AD, find the DL and right click it. go to exchange tasks and choose hide membership :) quite simple but quite hidden

    In exchange 5.5 i was able to create a DL and hide the members in the list from the GAL. Anyway to do this in 2003? I cant seem to find the option like it was on 5.5 thanks

    on the ESM i have given myself "service account admin" and i still cant create public folders when i log off and on. Is there some sort of LAG on Exch5.5 ?
