Hi all, i have configured an node up/down events for a switch. but the problem is when a interface goes down I receive an node down alert. how to resolve this problem to receive only an alert when the entire switch goes down or only the up-link interface goes down. many thanks

I have configured perl script that send me an email event whenever a stat of a managed router interface become DOWN or UP. to avoide receiving a lot of email alert due interface reset. how to make the event generated only when an interface is down for exemple at least for 3 minutes? many Thanks
