    Thanks everyone for the great responses. The problem was infact the carrier not the system. just solved today. The PBX guy got on the phone with the carrier and told them what to do, go figure. Any how, looking for a new provider, think i found one. Thanks again. You've all been helpful JL

    Yes they are POTS but they go through the same provider, sho handles local and LD. Cell phone from this area works just fine. If the power goes out and the PBX is without power long enough for the battery to fail, the fire alarm lines still work. My area code is 541, the problems are 574 and...

    Hi Susan, Thank you for responding, Im not sure of the term POTS line, but if im correct it's a line that does not get switched by the PBX. I have two phone lines which are used by the fire alarm. I cannot dial the area codes with those lines either. The service provider can dial the area codes...

    I have a Toshiba Strata DK280, on T1. I lost connection to 2 area codes that we normally dial every day. It has been a week. The service provider says its the PBX, and the PBX programmer says it's the service provider. Please present any thoughts or Ideas. JL
