I don't know what packages are included in the suse dist. Need to ensure that SAMBA is on your system. WEBMIN is great to help you setup those gawd-awful configuration files that SAMBA uses -- but if you don't have SAMBA the WEBMIN stuff is to no avail.
Am trying to get my personal Linux box @ home to VPN into office server @ work.

Ofc Server mach=M$NT 4.0 SP6
VPN known to work using M$Windoze on the same machine.
Downloaded IPFWD and PPTP software and compiled it.
When running "pptp [NTBOXADDR]...
1st. Go check out http://www.cag.lcs.mit.edu/~cananian/Projects/IPfwd
You will see there that IP protocol 47 datagrams are used over TCP port 1723.
