To further clarify the problem, when forwarding email outside the domain, the username is not recognized (i.e., jjwood64@hotmail.com where jjwood64 does not get recognized) by any server domain which the email is forwarded to. I believe there has to be a setting to alter within my sendmail.cf...

I have a version of sendmail running on AIX 5.3, which we use with a online mail program. However, when I try to run a given test email to my hotmail account, I keep running into the "connection refused" error from hotmail.
