Hi Nyk, NW 7.1.2 is no longer supported. NW 7.4 is a big change. All the rpc are TCP based and the introductions of the new daemons like nsrmmgd , nsrlcpd , nsrjobd require OS system tunings. Fisrt advice: increase the file descriptors. On Solaris a custoemr has to increase it to 2048 after...- jjack5

NW 7.4 SP2 can not backup data with retention > 2038
2038 is an Os system like was 01/01/2000. At the moment infinite retention time cannot execeed the year 2038. JJ.- jjack5

Legato 7.4.2, Solaris 10 & sji commands
Hi Rachel, From Solaris 10 Legato no longer uses lus driver but generic scsi sgen driver to talk with the robotic arm. Morever there is a device path for the robotic arm which was not the case before. So it means the file can be locked. To use sji command you need to stop NW. Hope this helps. JJ.- jjack5
