video output very dim
I replaced the monitor to be sure that it wasn't that. Same problem. It would appear to be the AGP card. I do have another video card (but not AGP). The system doesn't like the switch. I find nothing in the the mobo manual to tell how to use it without the AGP card, ie: a jumper to diable the...- jimdoty69

video output very dim
Turned the computer on this AM - everything normal through the WindowsME banner. When it switches to the desktop screen the display becomes very dim. If I change the display settings to the lowest 640x480 at 16 colors, brightness is fine. Once I bump the settings up the next setting to 800x600...- jimdoty69

WindowsME upgrade to XP Pro or dual boot
Presently running ME on a single partition HD. "Research" seems to indicate best option is to do a clean install of XP Pro. Since I would like to keep all info/data/etc. is there a way to dual boot from ME? I assume I would have to create a second partition to be able to do this. Can I...- jimdoty69
