    YEah, I suppose that was the obvious answer, (Some times I amaze myself at my own stupidity). I didn't realise that it gave a better help descriptions than DW's own Validator. Thanks very much p.s. I think Napolion Dynamite is an ace film too!

    Thanks for all the advice folks, It was the Fixed property that was causing the problem. It must have been putting the background at the top corner of the screen, I still don't know why this wrked for other elements but not this one. Thanks again guy's for saving my sorry ass! cheers Jigedy Jig

    Isadore, You might get away with using a "Spotty" Background, it gives the illusion of about a 50% transparency. Use a 2 rows of 2 Gif Image with the Diagonals being transparent, and the opposite diagonals being a colour of your choice. Used to a rreeallllyy Cool effect in the css zen design...
