    Authenticate across firewall

Hi, Some of our laptop clients are going to have to authenticate to our domain across a firewall. At the moment only DNS and Citrix ICA traffic is allowed. I have to open additional ports so the clients can authenticate to the domain. After some research I have come up with the following ports...

Upgrade path Windows Server 2003 SP1 to SP2

Hi, We are still running Service Pack 1 on one of our clusters. It is a 2-node active-active cluster running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition with SP1. It provides file and print services (hosted on one cluster node) and a Pervasive 9.5 transactional database (hosted on the other node)...

Superscope reappearing, issue wtih Microsoft DHCP server

I think I've found a workaround for this. If I select my scopes individually and select 'remove from superscope', the superscope reappears when I restart the DHCP service but if I select the superscope itself and delete it, the superscopes stays deleted. Superscope reappearing, issue wtih Microsoft DHCP server

I'm having the exact same problem. I installed DHCP on a testserver, created two scopes and placed them in a superscope. I then removed them from the superscope but when I restart the DHCP service, the superscope reappears!! Very strange indeed... Jeffrey Kusters MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, VCP-310

Serverlesss backup with EVA4000, MSL6030 and Backup Exec??

Hello, I am fairly new to SAN environments so forgive me for possibly asking for the obvious: We have an EVA4000 SAN with HSV200 controllers, Cisco MDS 9020 fabric switches, a MSL6030 tape library and class-c blades in a c7000 enclosure. We are using Backup Exec 11d to perform backups of our...

Move public folders to another server across 1mbit WAN

Hi, I need to migrate a collection of public folders (approx. 1.5Gb) to a new Exchange 2003 server. The new server is located across the WAN (1mbit connection). Is the PFMigrate tool the best way to go??? Thanks, Jeffrey Kusters MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP

Move Mailbox Wizard / Different Outlook versions

Hi, I have to migrate/consolidate 8 branch office Exchange 2003 servers to a 'new' Exchange 2003 server. All servers are in the same domain and Exchange organization so the Move Mailbox Wizard looks like to right tool for the job. The problem is that I have no idea what version of Outlook is...

Question about v2 and v3 (kernel-mode and user-mode) print drivers

Hi, We are trying to phase out the version 2 NT4.0 printer drivers running in kernel mode on our Windows Server 2003 Printservers. I have checked the Drivers tab on the Print Server Properties dialogue and can see a number of Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000/XP/2003 and Windows 95/98/ME drivers...

ePo 3.5: Schedule compliance check reports?

Too bad ePo can't do this by itself. I'd say scheduling a periodic compliance check is a pretty basic feature and should be included in this 'enterprise' tool. We are trying to offshore some very basic daily maintenance tasks to India and we're trying to make it as easy as possibly for our...

Hi, I am a newbie with ePo and on of our clients would like to see a daily report of non-compliant machines (ie DAT files and/or Engine out of date or no protection at all).
