New in LDAP

Outlook client keep losing the network connection
Any suggestions why my outlook keep on losing connection to exchange server 2003? I confirmed that I have network connection because I kept on pinging the server constantly and no request time out. unable to connet to the Internet gateway router/corporate nework.
