you could do two things:
1. change the text entry font in the interaction icon to wingdings or dingbats
2. set the text entry display mode to transparent.
do you use a crossover cable? if so, it should go between the router and dsl modem. i accidently switched the crossover with a straight cable and lost dsl. just a thought.

i zipped up the most recent video drivers and installed them from 9 floppies (fun). no luck.
i scanned the registry for problems. none found.
i restored the registry to the last 3 saves. no luck.
i did an fdisk /mbr and sys c:. no luck.
i checked for noide...
urgh---i just went to the video driver download page, and the driver is 10mb. since the computer only boots in safe mode, and without cd-rom support, any ideas on how i can get the new driver on the computer? i am going to have to see if the owner has the original video drivers on floppy disk...

Go to your Explorer Tools>Internet Options and click the Advanced tab. See if you have the 'Reuse windows for launching shortcuts' selected?
If it is selected, uncheck it.
