We have a number of legacy BCM400s and BCM450s. (Actually a couple of MICS units too!).
I'm hearing it's getting harder and harder to find licenses for these things. Is this something everyone is seeing? Should I start freakin'? Last I checked, there didn't seem to be any issue...
I need a little "grounding" here. We are a multi-site, multi-server organization. We're running Exchange 2003 (non-enterprise). The priv.edb at one of our sites became corrupt (about 20gb). We decided to do a dial tone recovery. When we brought the server up with the blank database, we...
I appreciate the advise. Given that its 50GB or more, the time to repair it may be 8 or more hours. What if I discover that it is corrupt during business hours? Wouldn't it be better to wait until later that day or some non-business time to do the repair?
We recently had a situation where our our priv.edb became corrupt. It was well over 50GB. So, running a consistency check etc took a long long time. We use NTBACKUP to do hot backups and it turns out that the backup was inconsistent too. Not good. Not sure why we didn't do a dial tone but...
Thanks everyone. This is good info. I'm going to go with a partial PRI.
Even though DID trunks are more expensive, they can typically be installed in less than 2 weeks. Sometimes even one.
I have to wait about 3 to 4 weeks for my PRI's and these guys are eager to pass out there cards.
Will a BCM50 support DID trunks? I have heard that it will not. The only way to get DID numbers if via T1 or PRI. It will handle POTS lines but not DID.
Help.
When forwarding a .vbk file to someone who does not have the desktop client, I understood that the file should be converted to .wav. Ours did it for a while but quit. Any suggestions? BCM 400 running 3.6
senk1s, you read my mind. I didn't ask my question well but you hit exactly what I want to do, send a target line to an information box. Or, could I setup a normal VM and give it a custom class of service so there is no storage?
Is there a way that I can setup an information only voicemail box? E.g. someone dials and all they hear is an outgoing message without the ability to lease a message?
Is there any way to have a voicemail show up in your main outlook inbox so you don't have to go to a seperate inbox to retrieve your voicemails? Also, this would give us notifications on our blackberries that we have voicemail.
