We currently use a portable CD player as our Music-on-Hold device, but are thinking of moving to something that lasts longer than this type of device. Typically, we get 1-2 years out of one of these. Runs 24/7.
Do any of you use a component-style CD player? Single Disk? Carousel? We're...
I heard this from a Nextel sales manager, a Verizon sales rep and a rep from AT&T (Cingular) - They are not selling the numbers to the "telemarketing companies" but they are working on a cell phone directory. The only way a cell phone number would be included in this directory is if the...
We're considering Microcall for our call accounting package (we don't currently utilize anything for call accounting). I checked with a Microcall rep and she indicated that there are thresholds you can set so you should be able to track any call length.
Hope this helps.

Not sure what voice mail system you have but we use Audix and for the situation you described, we can use the auto attendant routing table to direct voice messages for a certain extension to a voice mailbox other than the one associated with that station.
i.e., sta 30615 callers leave messages...
In a grocery store, where you could buy "coupons" and the money would go toward the less fortunate (at least that's what they meant to say)..

If you have your agents within a certain range of numbers, you can do the following:
list agent <starting agent ID> c <number of agents>
It will bring up the listing of agents including login ID, agent name, COR and skill listing.
I hope this helps.
Thanks!

I've had experiences where if I've imported numbers from Access into Excel, I cannot perform any "numeric" functions (i.e., adding, etc.). I've gone back into Access and changed the data field type from text to number and then re-export the information. I then can peform those numeric-type...
What model amplifiers are you using? We don't utilize the batteries, we plug our amplifiers in. I didn't know they would go into "sleep mode" to preserve batteries.
We have several large call centers and exclusively use the Plantronics headsets/amplifiers with our 6408d+ phones. I haven't heard of this happening. Do you have HEADSET buttons on the phones?
Fortunately, I too keep a lot of spare phones around in the event that I need to swap one out.
These people here go through belt clips like you wouldn't believe. Unfortunately, all expenditures for cellular phones (service, accessories, phones, etc.), hit my budget - something that is not...
It was an Startac (7868) and it was just powered on. It took several months and Verizon finally agreed to write it off because they could tell what happened. Needless to say, we don't let her out of the city anymore. :-)
What do you do in the event of someone breaking their phone? We had...
We had a user who went just slightly into Mexico and had her work cellular with her. Her phone was cloned while she was in Mexico and there ended up being over $25,000 worth of fraudulent charges on our Verizon bill.
What I like is the guy who came up to me and said, "See this D on the display? How do I make that go away?" The "D" he was referring to is actually the D for DIGITAL. He then asked me if I knew his voicemail password, because he had forgotten it.
Then there's the guy who thought he'd clean...
