Outlook's help files tell you which ones can't be opened.
They are .ade .adp .bas .bat. chm .cmd .com .cpl .crt .exe .hlp .hta etc...
The one I'm asking the question about is .scr - a screen saver my boss sent me.

Outlook 2000 automatically makes it so you can't open attachments with certain extensions. Does anyone know how to get around this? Sara

You can use it to create a CD image on your hard drive. All the files on the disk are copied to a spot on C drive and when you want to make a CD out of it you just copy that one file from C to E(or whatever your CD burner is).

What browser are you using? I have been told that if you are using IE6 and Outlook this will happen to some messages. Some kind of bug. Sara
