    Re-Apply Exch 203 SP2??

Hello, I'm just after a general consensus here. Would it be considered "dangerous" to re-apply Exch 2003 SP2 on a SBS 2003 SP1 server? It has had lots of Windows + Exchange updates installed since the initial install of Exch SP2. Anyone done it? Thanks in advance

    SMB shares.

Thanks for your response Zelandakh, I found out that you have to click on the drop down arrow on the right of the SAVE AS field. This then exposes the subdirectories of the server shares!!

    SMB shares.

(MAC NEWBY) OS X 10.4.9 on MacBookPro I have created an automator task and left an icon on the desktop. It mounts all the required network shares from a 2003 windows server. It all works quite well. Problem is, when the user creates a new DOC or PPT file etc..he can save it only on the top...

    Who's who in the zoo?

Howdy all, I've now been charged with supporting a Mac and, being from a windows environment, thy learning curve is steep! Anyway it's a mac book pro (intel chip) that had 10.4.8 OS X on it and I have now updated it to 10.4.9 (rather painless I must admit). My question is "What animal is it...

    Auto Accept Agent time issue

I'm running the Auto accept Agent on an SBS2003 (EXCH sp2) and just recently my resource calender started accepting appts but changing the time to one hour behind. I checked all domain pc's and servers. All are same time zone, same system time, daylight saving enabled (ticked) and where...

    Exchange 2000 chewing up memory

Benjaminle, here is my batch file code. I run it through sched tasks. The last line just lets me know that the batch file has run. You can put a pause statement after each command for testing purposes, coz sometimes there are other dependent services that have to be stopped first. Cheers @echo...

    Logical disk manager service

Hello, I have a server (win2k sbs sp4) that comes up with the error "the specified service does not exist as an installed service" when ever I click on the Disk Management icon in the comp mgmt console. System is a Dell poweredge 2500 with a 3di raid card using 3 seagate scsi hdd's in a raid...

"send as" problem, tried all tips.

Sorry about the delay in replying here XMSRE, and many thanks for your correspondance. Unfortunatly I still couldn't get the Ex box to allow "send as" to function for the 2 users. I spoke to the guys who originally built the server and they told me about install problems with exchange2k, so...

    Exchange 2000 chewing up memory

I made a batch file that runs every 2 days through scheduled tasks. The batch file simply restarts the MS exchange info store service, which bets pretty hungry for Physical and Virtual memory.

"send as" problem, tried all tips.

Thanks for the info, I will try this tomorrow. I am of the understanding that if I Purge the mailboxes then I will lose them permanently. Making a PST of the "boss" account is easy enough but the "delagate" has over 2 gig of mail. If I complete steps 1 + 2 of your list above, then delete the 2...

"send as" problem, tried all tips.

Thanks xmsre, I actually deleted the "boss" user account and re-created it, then reimported his mail from a PST file. Next I went through and set all the relavent permissions again using the AD mmc from Exchange menu. The user can at times send as "boss" but if she logs off or restarts...
