Hello, I REALLY appreciate some help with this. I am a senior member on an IT staff of 6. We have several sites across the world and 300 employees. We have no trouble ticket system, project management system, and our PO system fell through as well. We need to get these systems in gear.

I'm looking for software or an appliance that supplies a web portal for accessing drive shares. I would like to hook it into LDAP and provide access to shares on any server. This will supply storage access to 300 employees all over the world.
I've found a couple free linux solutions but they...
This is a question I've never been able to answer for myself through years of MS domain administration. I've never been able to get it to work through any trust. So, for all the people that are smarter than me (most of you, I presume) please answer this.
I have 2 domains. One is a Windows...
I got Win2k3 AD setup and working just fine in our testbed with Bind DNS on Fedora core 1.
I copied the zone files and conf file to our production DNS and fired up our new win2k3 AD server.

ADC on the 5.5 box? uhh, didn't know...

Remote Win2k AD domain and forest called "remote.company.com"
2 way trust between corp and remote.company.com
Exchange 5.5 in corp
Exchange 2000 in...

I have an internal ftp server that I have winbind set up to use. Several users are using it. However, I have 2 users that cannot login. When I do a "getent passwd", I get the list of users, including the 2 that are the problem. They do have the correct UID. However, if I do a "getent passwd...
