Its not a bug its a feature :)
When the DC with the GC is disconnected from the child domain there is no way that users can logon to the child domain cause its the GC server that processes the logon request..
Same problem here.. and we did a clean EPO3 install.
For some reason i think the application isn't 100%
Sometimes if u wait long enough the mark appears next to the pc icon .. sometimes 2 hours,2 days.. god knows why.
I've noticed a difference in boot-up time. VSC 7 takes less time to get settled then the VSC 4.5.1.
1 icon in the tray instead of 2 ..
I don't think these r reasons to go to 7 :)
I've heard (a rumor) that the 7 is better equipped for virus removal/cleaning then the 4.5 but i can't guarantee its...
Same problem here.. Engine doesnt update right away.. first epo agent update, then xdat update.. and @ the next logon the engine (sdat) is updated/executed.
These thing right after a fresh deployment of agent and manual installation of VSC7 (+ extra task Update @ logon)
If u read my question u know that im not looking for a function.. i was talking about the QUERY parameters .. :)
I alrdy checked MS's helpfile but it didnt help me further so i posted here...
Hello,
I have a little query where i have a datepart function that extracts the weeknumber from a field. But here a week starts on Sunday.
Where i live a week starts on Monday.
Is there any way to state it in the query without diving into vba?
thanks
I re-registerded the office applications but the problem isn't solved..
Neither are the files marked as read only..
It has to be something with the connection to the server.. for some reason he won't drop the connection to that file even after 10min after the file is closed..
If the user open...
If u wanna push the server to the limit just install Windows XP on it :)
I don't know that kinda software i just know Sisoft Sandra to test the hardware by benchmarking it..
Hello,
Since we changed into WinXp Pro/Office2000 (before it was W2K/office2000) Most of the word files that are saved on the server (NT4 server) seems to be written as read only.
Whenever the users open these files again they cannot save it under the same name...
This becomes very annoying...
u have to change some files : ristndrd.sif and rinorprt.sif
U can add :
[userdata]
ProductId="serialnummer" (with quotes)
and change the values
Repartition = NO
Use whole disk = NO
When u add this just use the bootdisk or the network boot on the client and all goes 'hopefully' smooth...
are u sure the dhcp comes thru? Anyway i c no reason to use heavy load DHCP if u dont use logon validation..if its just for the basic ip cfg u can do it manually..basic Workgroup cfg will solve the common print sharing problems..
If u install the printer as a network printer and not as local u won't have that problem :)
About the roming profiles i don't think there is a workaround..
