Hey tdaugirdas I gave you a star. Thank you very much. I am using a Merlin Legend R7.0 with a Merlin Messaging R1. Message lights did not work until I set the ports as RotaryEnable. I don't suppose you have an expalnation why this worked. Thanks again.

same problems here. I found that if I do the DCOM changes the login window goes away, but the message lamps are still hit and miss at best.

you can access the reports as long as you have the alarmtraq database setup as a system DSN (ODBC Link).

merlinman: Yes, overseas calls ring correctly and complete with no problem. SBC says it may have to do with the "name" format I am sending with the setup message.
