1. Do I have to run the wizard on a network (workgroup) to get access to the network computers?

Hi John! Your right that nobody likes that an administrator going in to theres profiles and lock around but in some situations the admin maybe have to putt somting on there desktops or someting like that....

I have a AD domain (contoso.com) and now I want to install a new domain in a new tree (tree.com) in the same forest.
The new domain controller (dc2.tree.com)is going to run its own DNS.
questins:
1. How does dc2.tree.com find contoso.com when I run dcpromo?
2. how does dc1.contso.com find...
Is it possible to install a new windows 2000 server on a NT domain with some NT4 domain controlers? If you can, will the windows 2000 server just sync with the old PDC and then take over the "PDC" role when you run dcpromo?

I use Ghost on two Domain Controller to take backup on the whole server, will it be any problems if I restore a ghost image that is old (more then 1 month old) on one of the DC?
Someone told me that 2000 server change some kind of computer certificate (or key) reguarly so if you try to restore...
In Active Directory you can give a user rigths to "create Intellimirror group objects" and "Create Group Objects". What is ther differance?

If you right click on a site in "Active Directory Sites and Service" you can start the "Delegate Control wizard".
What kind of permission can you give on a site? I guess that you cant give a user rights to create users on a site???
