Dear johnmacsap,LarryTheCucumber, I tried installation as per your suggestios But still i have same problem. i installed Service pack 6 and typed command at the dos prompt before launch svrmgr30. set local=<SID> . But Its not helped me. I think that my oracle not installed properly bcoz...- hvarshney
