Hi,
I have successfully configured my cisco 1721 router with 1 WIC1-ADSL to connect to the internet.
The problem is that the router takes at least 20 minutes to connect to the internet after a router reload.
Lately, the router doesn't connect at all and the ATM0 interface isn't coming up, in...
it's what i am doing, the pool is a subnet that differs from the inside and the outside network it's a subnet lying behind router,
do you know how can i check the the sent/recieved statistics of the IPSec tunnel on a PIX?
(like the Statistics that i can see on the Cisco VPN client)

I am trying to use one IP in the pool addresses, it worked:
The client is connected, but i receives nothing from the PIX!
received: 0 bytes.
decrypted:0
any ideas?

Hi all,
I am using a PIX on my own network, so both inside and outside interfaces are on the local network (none of the interfaces is connecting to the internet), all addresses are statically assigned no DHCP, no DNS, no WINS!!
A few servers lie on the outside interface, all i want to do is to...
Hi,
Here are the results of the tests:
With no stateful between the units: same problem.
stateful configured on the lan failover interfaces: same problem.
Upgrade from PIX OS 6.2(2) to 6.3(1): same problem!!!!
I asked my resseller to pen a case at the TAC.

why don't you make a secrure CRT script that make the work for you?
each 24 hours let him type failover active on the secondary unit
I'm also surprised that with an FO unit can work standalone!!!
are there any traffic going in and out of its interfaces??

Hi,
It's the first time that i configure an ipsec tunnel over a PIX, i've already read the cisco docs.
my architecture:
a PIX seperating inside from outside (as usual )
a host on the outside network have to discuss with a server on the internal network.

Secondary PIX is up to date, i verified that sooner by issuing a "wr erase" in the standy and a "wr standby" on the primary, this works fine.
It's a good idea to test with one cable, i'll do that tomorrow before upgrading to 6.3.1

2 interfaces for failover because, there will be a huge number of connections to be synchronized between the two units, so a dedicated link should be fine.
HTY
I do have an interface called fo:
nameif gb-ethernet0 inside security100
nameif gb-ethernet1 outside security0
nameif ethernet0 fo security20
nameif ethernet1 stateful-fo security30
For the upgrade to 6.3.1 I will stop the failover between the two units before the upgrade.
Tell you tomorrow...
