It is possible. If you are runnig a RAID-system, than you need to swap the array-card also, because the settings used by the raid-config is stored on that card. If you have only 1 drive with IDE or SCSI without any raid-configs, well, it must work under VGA-mode. Let me know. Ewald

I suggest a Netscreen Firewall. It can also behave like a router if that would be neccesary. You can block adressranges for all ports and all subnets within various configs.

I think the best way will be a firewall. By default drop all requests and allow only the requests from IP-blocks you can trust. I did it for the office i work for and have no troubles instead. Greetings
