After running some netdiag tests its saying it cant find the domain controller list. I looked into the netlogon.dns file and the GC SRV record is there so why wouldnt it be in my dns zone? All of my searching is leading to dead ends with this problem.

I have let this sit over night and the records are still not present. There are records saying this child domain server is a global catolog on my main DC in its parent domain just none on the child domain DC. This is causing problems with exchange install and computer logons.

Is there a way I can add an external LDAP search to my GAL. I know I can set up LDAP searches for my local domain and child domains. I am looking for something like how you would add an external LDAP server to your email client but for the GAL.
