Hi there,
we are using NetWorker 7.6.1.3.Build.446 on Windows Server 2008 R2. In the NMC the logfile time is one hour back. OS show the correct time. Seems to be a problem with daylight saving time. Is there a variable to set DST?
Thanx for helping,
Heiko
You get the client id with mminfo for example:
mminfo -av -q client=<clientname> -r clientid
If you have an old copy of you nsr\res dir, you will find the clientid in the resource files.

Heiko
Remember to configure the pool of the volume. If the volume is labled for a pool that does not exist "scanner" will fail with a appropriate message. When you move clients from one NetWorker to another use the same client id.

Hi there,
some hints how to use nsradmin for backup status:
nsradmin -i query.txt -s networkerserver > log.txt
Replace "networkerserver" with your NetWorker hostname.
query.txt should look something like (empty lines needed!):
8<---------------------
option hidden: on
show completion...

Hi there,
I want to use one of the new clone features to set different retention times for clones in NetWorker V7.5 on windows.
The idea: 1st pool (adv_file) with retention of a few day as a disk backup cache. 2nd pool (clone pool) with a higher retention on tape and 3rd pool with the highest...
Hi there,
this is a 7.4.3 bug. We just installed nsr 7.5 on windows 2003. NOW NetWorker version is displayed correctly.
NOTES save sessions had display problems, too. They are gone with 7.5 aswell.
Update to 7.5 worked without any problems, by the way :-) .

Hi a060463xyz!
Thanx for the --nodeps hint. We have the same problems with server initiated backups, that´s why I want to use the new client. Did you solve this issue? Perhaps I don´t have to upgrade to 7.4 .
Hello there,
has anyone managed to install a networker client 7.4.x or even 7.5 on ubuntu linux?
I tried the linux package and got lots of dependencies including some X11 packages. Do I have to solve all the dependencies just for nsrexecd?
Any help appreciated!
Regards,
Heiko
In my opinion you do not need to store your index any longer than a few days. Every time you backup your index, it holds the information for your 10 year savesets.
After doing a inventory of the not registered slots with e.g.:
nsrjb -I -S 182
the volumes are now registered again. It seems that the jukebox resource got a little bit confused. This might be because of 16.000 volumes in one jukebox.

Heiko
Hello everyone,
I have got a problem with nsr 7.1.2 (Windows Server 2003). A lot of the volumes in the library are marked with "*", showing that they are not registered to the library. On the other hand these volumes appear in the networker mdia index:
