I see that I'm not the only one having these types of problems. Thanks for some of the suggestions. It is laptop users that are having these problems and its beginning to happen to a lot of users.
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
This does indeed solve the problem after the computer first...
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. Each and every morning, when I login to Windows, it appears I get the infamous 169.254.x.x address, in other words, my DHCP request doesn't get answered in time. Is there something that has built up any any sort of queue that I am unaware of that...
Well, it turns out I wasn't paying attention to the IP it was givin... It was 169.254.x.x which means it was set to autoconfigure the IP whuch means it wasn't giving out the IP at all... no real concrete answer other than to find a way for the computer to make a DHCP request at login somehow
Does anyone or has anyone ever encountered a problem where the IP address is assigned to the station but there is no default gateway listed?
It can be easily resolved by renewing the lease of the IP but I want it to log in properly... Is there a problem with DHCP?... any help would be appreciated
