The problem with AD Delegation is I don't want these people in AD Users and Computers at all. We are talking receptionists. If I some how don't get the delegation exactly right and I allow more access than I want they are able to mess stuff up. Plus I haven't always found just the rights I...
The only way I have found to make a Distrobution List that adds to the Global Address Book. Is to create a mail enabled group with the people I want to receive the distrobution as members. The problem is this is done with AD Users and Computers and each of my locations want somebody to be able...

Thanks,

Is there a way to force global address book updates? When in cached mode new Dist. Lists etc to not show up. I have to disable cached mode on the users machine close Outlook. Reopen the changes then show. Then close Outlook again then renable cached mode. Some machines retain the changes in...
My organization recently merged with a couple others. Recently some of the new people have been going into options in OWA and clicking on the "download" button for SMIME. In doing this they break their web access and most of the fixes I have researched have not worked. What I would like to do...
Tecguy,
I feel your pain my CAD/Solidworks designers it's the same issue. Even as powerusers they don't have all the rights to run everything they need so I have to make them admins. I know there's a better way to handle but haven't had time to figure it out and implement it.
Aaron
This isn't a GPO solution but if they aren't admins/powerusers of the local machine I don't think they have the right to create shares. I could be wrong I can't verify it at the moment. But I think I am correct.

Thanks Kenny,
I thought there was a GPO for locking the desktop. I know about redirecting and I do use it for myself. But there are no quotas in place and I may not be allowed to create quotas. That's why I feared the quantity of stuff on people desktops if I change the way I am doing Home...
Is there an easy way to make it so the user cannot save anything to his desktop or my documents? I want to set the Home directory to auto create and give that user access to his folder.
But if possibly I don't want to store the users profile on the server or if I have to have the profile...
I have a user that when they print an email it doesn't show the picture of the attachment on the email. I made sure she was set for Rich Text for her emails as well as word for the email editor. Then I made sure I was sending in Rich Text and sent her an email but when the email prints the...
It is a system logon account and it is domain/username. It's the same domain account used on all my backups on all my BE servers but only this one has to backup a netapp. That same domain account is also a member of backup operators group local on the netapp.
Thanks for the reply though.
Just an addendum with more info:
ndmp is off
file share selection is on in BE
I have tried browsing normal and user defined shares
I made my backup login account a member of the local backup operators group on the filer on the netapp
Still no joy.
Thanks,
Aaron
