You didn't say which version of SRS you have. If you have 2008, the easiest way I know of is to go to the reports website, find the original deployment folder (make sure you have chosen 'show details'), click on the icon under the 'Edit' column to the left of the report you need. On...
Good Morning All,
I am looking for recommendations for how to keep track of our internal report versions. Not versions of reporting services like 2005, or 2008; but versions of each report. We may have several different people making changes on reports and would like to be able to put a version...
I have a form where the first group header is shipping information. The second header is column headings for the item, desc and qty. I only want to repeat the column headings on subsequent pages and not the entire shipping header. When I try to select just the static row groups member for the...
Thanks checkai and xlbo-
I appreciate your responses.
Lots of good information there. Several options and ways to approach.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Good morning everyone,
Just wondering if there is a way to format the fields besides scripting it.
For example-- I know I can change the format of my current decimal fields to only show 2 places to the right of the decimal by using this in the dataset select query...
Ok Thanks xlbo-
I figured I could straight out write a query to make the link happen- which I tried yesterday afternoon and it worked.
But I was hoping there was a wizard or something to make it happen.
Thanks for clearing that up for me. Now I can stop looking through the books for it...
xlbo,
Thanks for the reply.
I'm sorry, but could you please tell me what data source view you are talking about?
I thought I found it...it let me add a new data source to the report under the data tab, which is great. But how do I link it to the other data source?
It let's me add fields...
Good morning everyone,
Can someone point me in the right direction for this?
Will I have to key in my own connection string to make it happen? What is the syntax for 2 data sources?
Also when I deploy this report based on 2 data sources, will the user have any trouble? I would like to use...
Ok for anyone following this thread- here is a link to what I found to be my problem.
http://blogs.msdn.com/mariae/archive/2007/12/10/reporting-services-internal-error.aspx
Here is a little blurb from it:
The issue was caused by a problem with the hardware AMD processor with PowerNow...
Alex-
Thanks for that as well. I actually googled around last night and found that exact css code fix for firefox and was going to post it here today to help others reading this thread. But you beat me to it.
Thanks for all your help!!
Sunny
Alex,
Thanks that was it. I was using Firefox.
I can't believe SSRS isn't firefox compatible.
I think that is lame of Microsoft.
It never even occurred to me that would be the problem.
Thanks again.
Sunny
Thanks for the response.
I found an error log here: \microsoft SQL server\<SQL server instance>\reporting services\logfiles
Is that the log you are referring to?
Here is the message from the SQLDUMPER_errorlog in that folder:
02/14/08 10:19:34, ERROR , SQLDUMPER_UNKNOWN_APP.EXE...
Thanks for the response.
I was referring to the intranet "webpage" that I deployed the report to.
Could you give me a hint as to where the reportviewer controls for my webpage are?
Thanks!
Sunny
Hello again everyone,
On the webpage, the report I deployed only shows to be about 1 inch tall. To see the whole report you have to scroll. When I preview it before I deploy it, it is normal height.
How can I fix this? What setup did I miss?
TIA!
Sunny
I am just getting started. Have completely setup and installed SSRS. I have created my first report and am trying to deploy it.
It let's me deploy it without error. Sometimes I can view it from the webpage where it's deployed and sometimes I get the following error "An internal error occurred...
