I haven't tried the paid hosting yet. Hopefully there won't be a problem. I will let you know how it turns out. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Kevin. I spent quite a bit of time on the site before I signed up for the Free site, but I am planning on using them for paid web hosting too. I was impressed with the FAQs and what seems to be a quick turn-around time on technical support questions as well as the depth of the...
I just signed up for free web hosting at CFM-Resources, but do not have any experience with it yet. Is there something that I should know? Thanks!

Are you able to see your home page thru PWS properties (click on Web site)? If you are, then your PWS is working. You have to map your drive for the file that you want to access. Click on PWS properties, advanced icon and then browse to the directory where you have your ASP files that you...
FrontPage extensions are not required to run Javascript. If your pages worked fine on your local computer, but not on the servers, you might want to check the HREF to the files that your pages are trying to access. It is possible that your Javascript code is finding the...
Its not UNIX that has the problem, but your ISP. I have several FrontPage web sites on a UNIX server and others on a Windows NT server and have no problems with UNIX. The problems that you are having are due to the FrontPage extensions not installed or not installed...
In order for the email to work, your FrontPage web must be on a Windows NT Server (IIS) for the sendmail to work. If you web site is hosted on a UNIX server with FrontPage extensions, the sendmail will not work. Your UNIX ISP or Host provider may have a sendmail CGI script...

Two Thumbs Up for Dreamweaver. I started with FrontPage several years ago and am now using Dreamweaver for all of my new web sites. Dreamweaver is much more robust and powerful than FrontPage and lets you have the control over everything. It also writes cleaner...
FrontPage normally only publishes the changed files. If the files in your local computer has a more recent file date than the ones on your web server, FrontPage will upload the newer file to the web.<br><br>You can control the files you want published by marking the pages to publish...
FrontPage will accept either default.htm or index.htm or index.html as the homepage. Windows NT servers usually use default.htm and UNIX boxes use index.htm. FrontPage 2000 uses index.htm for the home page. Microsoft made some concessions.<br><br>In order to fix...
JavaScript isn't specific to FrontPage, but will work with any browser version that can handle javascript. FrontPage uses DHTML that acts like JavaScript. But I noticed that the FrontPage DHTML isn't exactly compatible with the standard.<br><br>A great source for JavaScipt...
Just remember that changing the way a document prints with background colors is optional to the user on their own specific browser settings. If you want the background color to printer in every browser, then I suggest you use a background image. <p>Hella<br><a...
If by login function you mean if FrontPage "saves" your user name and password, I haven't found one and I've been using FrontPage for several years (FP98 & FP2000). You might want to make this request to Microsoft. Most FTP programs as well as Macromedia's...
