I have a winxp box and lately its been having some weird problems.
After the computer starts and i log in, internet explorer takes a couple minutes to retrive a page. Also, when i start aol and connect using the lan, it too hangs for a couple minutes. After those first few minutes...
install vnc on client(send user the vnc install disc[walk him/her through installation]), and vnc viewer on your pc.
then vnc in and add to domain.
(thats if the client is reachable)

Does sound like a dns problem since nslookup found the ip for "tek-tips.com"...but also sounds really familiar to a routing problem i had...
