I am using the active x calendar (very cool). Sometimes, it refuses to take a click on a date. If I click a different date, then click the date I originally wanted, it takes the click. Seems to refuse a date I used on last form. What am I doing that causes this?

I agree. What kind of connection are you using? Sounds like your buffer is running down faster than your connection can keep it full.

I am at a disadvantage becuse I have to work through the city's contracted "phone guy" to get these things done and he would rather argue than fix. : )

My recollection is that you need the pause to allow for the paging terminal to answer to insure the number to be displayed is not sent prematurely. Since the number does get sent to our pager correctly, I am assuming the pause between dialing the terminal and spitting out the number to dispaly...
Now that we have the voicemail working correctly thanks to CO disconnect, I have another small issue.
We use pager notification that pages us when someone leaves a message. The Norstar voicemail outdials to our pagers and sends us our extension number when we have a message. Works fine.
Each...

Eevrytime someone calls my Norstar extension and gets my voicemail, if they just hang up and leave no message, I get a message left of a busy signal. To make matters worse, I have pager notification activated and it pages me constantly due to these no message messages. How can this be stopped...
Is anyone using software encryption as opposed to firmware encryption? If so, what are you using? Interested in full encryption not just PGP on emails.

I was running W95. Had a dos app that ran fine in a dos window. It printed to my printer ok.
Upgraded to W98SE. Same app now pukes trying to print from dos window. Prints ok in dos mode.
My recollection is that in W95 the dos window properties allowed me to set "print direct"
In W98...
When the users have no Firewall software and no routers to block port access, why do phone apps like net2phone still have trouble establishing two-way audio? Are ISP's supplying firewalls that the users are not aware of?

The MSN/net2phone software says the sound card in a computer is not full duplex and therefore will not work for telephony. However, this same computer has been used in apparent duplex conversations (no push to talk) using the talk function on ICQ.

The standard Windows Icons did not disappear. The ones I lost are the ones that get added under /Programs, when you install applications.
I do not have multiple profiles on the computer.
When I look in the Start menu using the Explorer, I can see that all the icon groups have disappeared.

I had an application freeze tonight. I ended up doing a restart. After that, I had lost the list of icons on my Start/Programs menu.
I reinstalled W98 from the folder I have it in on my HD, no help. I can manually add the stuff back, but why did I lose it? Is/was there anyway to restore it...
