(Using SBS 2000)
Hi
My boss needs to access a particular website - he gets an error message saying unable to connect to port 5000.
I can access this website from Internet Explorer on the W2k server, but none of the client PC's on the network can.
I have setup an IP filter in ISA server to...
Thanks for all the replies - I haven't been back to this server to check the suggestions yet - will post an update as soon as I get there

Hi
When I run ipconfig on the server it shows the IP address
of the lan NIC (192.168.0.2 - 255.255.255.0), the IP
address of the dialup connection ((212.159.etc), and a
mystery third IP address (192.168.0.32 - 255.255.255.255)
Anyone got any ideas where this other address and subnet

All sorted now:
ISA Management -> Access Policy -> IP Packet Filters. Create a new packet filter, outbound, local port any, remote port 79.
Thanks for your help and interest
I've been told I need to open port 79 as it is currently blocked _ (I need to use the finger command to dequeue some mail). Can anyone tell me how to open this port?
Thanks
Frank
I'm used to being able to see all users email (in SBS
4.5) by using Outlook on the server and going into
FILE... OPEN... OTHER USERS FOLDER... INBOX.
Outlook on my SBS 2000 server won't let me do this - any
suggestions?

Thank God for support forums!

I wasn't there when it happened today, but I gather the...
Using SBS2000 SP3
Once or maybe twice a day the list of PC's and printers
on the network disappears. Shared folders (Company and

>What email server are you using? Exchange?
Yes, Exchange 2000. In Exchange 5.5 I used to be able to run Outlook on the Server and view the administrator email account, and also be able to use File, Open, Other Users Folder... but I can't access any of the user...
Thanks for your reply. I haven't done anything about this as it doesn't seem to be causing a problem at the moment, and other problems have been more pressing. I'll keep an eye on it.

Hi
Just moved to W2k Server from NT4 Server. I was used to the administrator account being able to see everything - all users disk shares and email folders. I can't do that now, have I not configured something right?
