    Swap the harddisk, It is a good way if I could turn the machine off. This machine needs to be online 100 % of the time so thats why I cant do like that.

    Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Yes i have disabled the windows control of the drives on the W2K server and the W2K SAN nodes. On the backupserver I have also disabled the "Removable Storage" service.
