Many thanks for your suggestions. Forgive me my ignorance. I downloaded DBXtract, but do not know how to 'unzip' it.(it is a long time since I performed an 'unzipping')I do have PKunzip.(this appears to be a dos file) Would appreciate a simple explanation. Henry- halkin

I had to restore my laptop system(Win98) but before doing so I backed up my OE files on to an Imation Superdisk (120meg) and the files were saved as DBX. I am unable to restore the data. Is there anyway I can convert from DBX to msword or word 2000????- halkin
