    Saints go marching in audio warning?

    I really don't think it has anything to do with the O/S as it starts on boot up. This would also discount the CPU temp as the Cooling fan is ok (so it would take time for the CPU to heat up if the fan was underperforming). Though I will pursue this avenue further. Thanks for your suggestions though.

    XP Won't recognise Primary Slave HDD

    Thanks Guys, I did all the tricky stuff right, but missed the "Master Single" jumper hurdle. Eventually installed a 30GB HDD but I think it may have been down to that Jumper. I looked too quickly and just saw it as Master and left it at that. Doe.[Blush]

    I've just fitted an Seagate 40Gb HDD as a Slave to A Dell Dimension 450. I've tried FDISK with a Win ME boot disk and formated the HDD.     PC100 + PC133 = hhmmm

    When using 133 Ram on a 100 Motherboard you may find that a 256 will only be recognised as a 128. Or not at all as has happened to me.
