    Problems managing sites in DWMX!

No worries folks! I did some more digging on the Interweb and found the problem, its an issue with our firewall. Basically you need to modify your firewall settings to allow the "World Wide Publishing" service from the control panel to be able to connect to the Internet.

    Problems managing sites in DWMX!

Hi everyone, I'm running Dreamweaver MX through WinXP Pro and I originally set up a few (4) sites while I was working on those projects. I now want to delete some of those projects and add some more, but every time I go to the "manage sites" window, Dreamweaver comes up with an error saying I...

Getting users to add their own content to a site

What would be the best way to get users who visit a site to post their own word/excel/other docs to the site for sharing with the rest of the website's community? I basically need an interface that will ask for a username and password to login, once they are logged in, users will be able to...

    Usability of Perl

I have no idea, but I really didn't trust what he was saying at all! A website we are looking at uses some Perl in the background - he is trying to say that the website needs to be re-designed in another language as Perl is now becoming obsolete. I didn't think it was correct what he was...

    Usability of Perl

So basically the guy is trying to bulls hit me!! As long as the output send is in either HTML or XML all the recent browsers will understand this.

    Critique this site

Hi there, just some feedback for you: - The grey box looks a bit out of place on the page and also looks cluttered on some of the pages. - Try to keep the colouring and format of the font in the grey box the same - italic font with an underline is usually associated with some kind of link...

    Usability of Perl

I've recently been told by a "web expert" that 70% of all internet browsers can't read or use Perl now - I thought that this was a pretty bold statement and was incorrect, if anyone can provide any feedback to this then I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Tony

Linking and exporting to an external HTML file

I've just been on to a few websites that talk about SSI's so I have a much better idea about what I can do now - if I get any other problems I'll give you a shout but thanks for your help.

Linking and exporting to an external HTML file

Linking and exporting to an external HTML file

I'm creating a template in HTML for my website, down the left I am having a section for banner links and advertisements. When I want to change the banners, instead of having to change them in the template and then update all links to the template, I would much prefer to have a link from the...

Lots of errors in Dreamweaver MX

Hi there! I've put together a few web pages and am testing them on a server, but there are about 30 browser check errors all relating to Netscape. Am I doing something wrong (other than bad coding!), or is there a way I can run a program through the code to take out/change the wrong code and...

    IE not accepting Java/Javascript

I see what you mean SMAH - I'll have a look at it tonight and see if I can change the path of the image - you're correct with your interpretation, the javascript works offline, but when I upload to a server it doesn't.

    IE not accepting Java/Javascript

This hasn't fixed the problem - I can see the java working offline, but when I upload it to the web, its a grey box with a red x in the corner. Any ideas?!
