I am running QTP 8.2 and trying to create/run a test against a Microsoft Access 97 application (a MDE tied to an access db). When I have both applications up (I’ll start QTP first) and start recording (and I record on all open windows) QTP fails to grab any of the stuff I do in the access...
Not sure if this is the best place to find any information, but i was told we need to move off of our ALPHA running VMS and move to UNIX. We have a bunch of VMS COM scripts which would need conversions. Instead of rewritting them all, i was told to develop a conversion tool of sorts. Being...

Thanks for the help! so far nothing has grabed our attention as to why this is happening as well. We are in the process in moving the WebFOCUS server off WinNT and over to Win2K with more resources, so hopefully (i wouldn't understand why, but...) With a fresh install of everything, our issues...
ok, when i mean "not getting full report" it seems to be truncating the data. And it doesn't seem to be at one perticular point. IE, lets say i'm quereing three colums of data, it will go to like 25 rows, but not complete the 26th (of say 100)...it will like spit out the first two...
Has anyone used SAMBA for VMS? i am trying to set up a file sync between two OpenVMS Boxes. I was thinking of using SAMBA to mount the remote drive (or dir) and doing a diff on it and then syncing the files. If there is a better way (say maybe an RSYNC for OpenVMS) I would RAELLY like to know...
I've read somewhere that w/ Pathworks one is able to make an OpenVMS machine a member server on a Native/Mix-mode Win2k AD/DC and share the same usr/passwd DB (on the AD/DC). I was wondering if anyone has tried this, what their story was, and how well it works. Also I wanted to know if it was...

Thanks for your help, that's what I was thinking. Thanks for the idea of using some sort of NFS implimentation... that just may work.....or maybe just some sort of secure rsync-ing of the logs....
One of the big reasons is to have consice even log corilation amongst all of our systems. Another bonus would be to cut back on the number of different logon's a givin user has to remember, as well as different password cycle times. What I am trying to do is have "Single Sign-on" if...
I was wondering if anyone has tried this implimentation to get OpenVMS machines to authenticate over ActiveDirectory. Or if someone has any other solutions to accomplish the same thing.
Thanks.
I am using WebFOCUS on a WinNT box that is talking to a VMS box that has the FOCUS DB as well as EDA server. When i run the web-reports that we've created (by augmenting .FEX files) I don't get a full response in data. While looking at the config files, there were two entries which i don't...
