To CDP or not CDP???
I have taken over the Management of a Cisco 6509 and noticed that CDP is disabled. Was this just an oversight by the previous Administrator or is there a reason not to enable CDP? -

I have a Catalyst 3548 switch that when we try to login gives the message "Password required but not set" then kicks you out. I am afraid to go in and try to reset the password because I am afraid to lose the configuration that I am sure is not backed up. -
