XP DOS Command
In Windows XP, you can create a shortcut to a cmd prompt and set the colors, and working directory there under properties. You could also specify a batch file to run after the line that will launch the cmd prompt. Also you can use the color command in the cmd prompt window. I haven't tried this...- gregoryep
