Pink Panther is right, you can enter the VBscript name nito the user Tab in AD and that will call the script. I am runnig it this way in many clisnet sites and it works well.

Why don't you create a test user, exactly the same as a standard user. Test its behaviour by deleting/creating profiles and see where they are storing.

The problem:
Icons keep reappearing on the desktop even after the user deletes them.
On testing this is what I found:

User logs on and creates icons on the desktop.
These icons get created in the local profile on the machine but not on the network profile.

Had this problem and it turned out that the \SYSVOL\sysvol folder had been unshared and all default permissions were removed,thereby not allowing the replication of the folder to the new dc.

This is as close as I can find on this issue,its interesting that there isn't alot of info out there.Possibly because it shouldn't really be an issue to dcpromo a 2K box in AD 2003 domain.
