I realize that. I was just trying to get a feel for other environments. I have a very diverse, completely non-standardized environment with almost 4000 windows servers and about 500 linux boxes. I was merely trying to get a feel for what others were doing.

I know there is no magic number for this but, What is your current server to engineer ratio?
1. How diverse is your environment?
2. How many total servers do you have?
3. What industry are you apart of?
4. How many server engineers do you have supporting your servers?

Could be an application memory leak? How's your system performance?

I administer almost 6000 windows servers and we have renamed the admin account on all of them. We have modified the name in the local security policy and have not had issues. I have heard of issues when folks have modified the settings another way....
or i suppose you could use a GPO to do it...
The slow browsing could be because of AV scanning. I had this issue to one of my 1000 DFS links.
Could also be in need of a hotfix. I would at least check out the link

My advise...Make sure you do all the prechecks for installation of a nw6 server. We had 5 different versions of NDS at one point but by following the best practices we were able to escape unscathed.
My advise do your research first.
